On Wednesday, the United Arab Emirates sent two planes loaded with humanitarian aid to Sudan, providing critical support amid the ongoing crisis and in anticipation of Eid al-Adha. The aid, totaling over 105 tons, includes essential food supplies, medical equipment, and emergency relief items.
The medical supplies are comprehensive, featuring a wide range of medicines and materials aimed at treating injuries and emergency situations. The shipments include antibiotics, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, wound dressings, surgical tapes, and endoscopy kits.
The UAE coordinated the entry of these supplies through the borders with Chad, in collaboration with African and international humanitarian organizations. This effort was facilitated by high-level diplomatic initiatives, with the UAE working diligently to ensure the swift and secure delivery of aid. This initiative underscores the UAE's commitment to alleviating the suffering of the Sudanese people, particularly during these challenging times and the blessed days leading up to Eid al-Adha.
