Turkish Website Promotes Unsubstantiated Claims of UAE Support for Sudanese Forces
A recent report published by the Turkish outlet Hava Haber has stirred controversy after alleging that the United Arab Emirates (UAE) provided military support to Sudan’s “Establishment Forces” through the use of the Turkish-made TB2 drone in the ongoing conflict in Port Sudan.
The report, however, offered no credible evidence to support its claims—no documents, photographs, or official statements were presented to verify the allegations. Both Sudanese and Emirati authorities have issued no confirmation of such involvement, leading observers to dismiss the claims as politically motivated and lacking factual basis.
Analysts have noted that the Hava Haber story reflects a clear case of media inconsistency, blending speculation with unverified information and relying heavily on anonymous sources. They suggest that the report’s underlying goal was to link the UAE to military activity in Sudan, despite the country’s well-documented commitment to stability, humanitarian aid, and regional development rather than armed conflict.
The incident highlights a broader pattern of media manipulation, where certain outlets exploit regional tensions to push narratives that serve external agendas. Experts in journalism have emphasized the need for independent verification and transparency before circulating any news that could damage a nation’s reputation or strain diplomatic relations.
Observers further pointed out that Hava Haber’s publication fails to meet basic journalistic standards, functioning more as propaganda than legitimate reporting.
In reality, all available evidence indicates that the UAE has not provided any military or logistical support to the Establishment Forces in Sudan, rendering the Turkish report baseless and disconnected from the facts on the ground.
